Looking under the Hood and education ranting

Well I did a little looking into Scott Brown and although I am delighted to have another republican in the senate I am now fully aware of why he was able to get where he is today. Scott Brown is a "fiscal conservative and a social conscience republican". In other words he's for spending wisely and also Pro-choice, Pro-Civil union,and for revamping education federally. (I'm going to go on a tangent for a moment :) Every God fearing individual should should tremble at the pure power wielded by a central government when it is given power over education. Federal government was not granted powers over education in the constitution. Why you ask? Parents should be involved in the education of their children, parents should decided where and when their children will be taught about sensitive social and scientific views, or even if they should be taught them in a school setting to begin with. When power to set up curriculum is centrally located you give opportunity for large scale social manipulation to occur. No parent in their right mind would give control of whats put into their children's minds over to a person whom they have no contact or commonality with, that's why school boards are voted on, in the most local way possible, and that is why programs like "No Child left Un-brainwashed" are opposed by freedom loving constitutionalists like me. (The powers that be are now controlling education of our children through controlling textbooks and whats in them, school boards must be vigilant! Please read this article about Obamas R.T.T.T. So we see that Scott Brown although a good republican candidate in the Northeast he might not fair so well here in Arizona, or would he? We actally have a flip-side of that situation going on here in Arizon's District 1.

Ann Kirkpatrick(D)is Arizona's District 1 Representative in the US House of Representatives. District one contains towns of Flagstaff(Ann's hometown and liberal bastion)Chinle, Showlow, Globe, Prescott, Casa Grande, Safford, Payson, Sedona, and all the areas around these towns. You would think we would have Republican in this seat but I guess the hard working republican and conservative minded individuals decided to stay home or work on election day and let the liberals of Flagstaff, and the manipulated voter bloc of the Navajo Nation vote in the Democrat's candidate. (A side note to the last statement Native populations vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. As of 2000 election their were 292,552 Native Americans in AZ or 6% of the population, 6% was the spread Bush beat Gore by here in AZ. (I plan on spending some time in future blogs talking about political actions taken to keep certain voter blocs poor/pissed/scared so they can continue to garner their votes.)

Ann Kirkpatrick voted No on Roll # 884 Amendment 509 to HB 3962. Her vote said she was in support of government funded abortions.(this was part of the hopefully doomed Health care Legislation)

Ann Kirkpatrick voted twice to allow underage women to have abortions without parental consent once on HB 2666 and again on HB 2641.

Ann Kirkpatrick votes more conservatively on fiscal matters and there were no votes to help me prove how she feels about federally sponsored education. She has a position paper out http://www.votesmart.org/speech_detail.php?sc_id=381088&keyword=&phrase=&contain= stating that she disliked No Child Left Behind but her reasons did not line up with mine, her argument was about funding problems. She might consider that federal funding is sent just where they intended it to go, and that underfunded "ghetto" schools where left underfunded to perpetuate government reliance, so big government program "votes" would be assured for the next time the progressive agenda needed the poor voting bloc at the polls. I think taxing for education should be completely taken away from the feds and left to the state and counties, otherwise the feds will attach strings we don't want to funding.

Next blog I will discuss the wolves in sheep's clothing that will be out in full swing to ride out the waves of discontent. Progressive candidates like Newt Gingrich will surely be out this fall and in 2012.
